Minor in Applied Statistics

The Department of Mathematics offers an undergraduate minor in Applied Statistics. Students who complete a minor in Applied Statistics will gain knowledge in probability and statistics and have the opportunity to apply statistical methodologies to real data.

The Applied Statistics minor is intended for non-math majors and complements many majors including those in Biology, Biomedical Science, Business Data Analytics, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Psychology.

An Applied Statistics minor can help students differentiate themselves in a competitive job market. The job outlook for students with an understanding in data analysis is very promising due to the rapid advancement in data technologies, particularly within the government, business, and health sectors.
