Newman students, faculty, and staff are invited to an inaugural Braver Angels collegiate debate on a timely question: Do universities have a responsibility to teach students to use AI? This guided, noncompetitive format welcomes thoughtful exchange across differences. Come to speak, ask a question, or simply listen. No preparation is required.
Lunchtime Lightening Talks & Pop-up Workshops
The CTL will be featuring "quick" professional development brownbag lunches from time to time, as interested faculty step forward to lead. Sessions will run from 12:15-12:45 to eliminate crunch travel times before and after the event.
Got a skill you want to share? An idea for a lunchtime lightening talk or a pop-up workshop? Tell us about it here.
A Lightening Talk is a 5-minute talk on teaching, learning, or your disciplinary research, in which you make a point clearly, quickly, and insightfully. (While slides are permitted, text dumping or reading from them is not).
A Pop-Up Workshop is a 20-25 minute INTERACTIVE session that offers faculty new ways to engage topics and skills.
Thank you for your patience and check back with us as we build the events page of our emerging CTL.
