Social Work (BSW) in Colorado Springs, Degree Completion
The BSW Completion Program has been designed to support students who have already completed their associate degree in Social or Human Services or a closely related area. Students who have completed at least 60 college credit hours are also eligible.
Courses in Colorado are blended in format, including on-campus and online courses. Students with an Associate of Arts (AA) in Social Work from Pikes Peak Community College are admitted under an Articulation Agreement with Newman University. Please work with an advisor at Newman to develop your plan of study.

The Newman University curriculum is designed to prepare social work professionals for leadership, focusing on trauma-competent practice. Classes are offered in a format that is designed to address the needs of working professionals. Instructional strategies incorporate a blend of classroom instruction, face-to-face activities, simulations, Interactive Television (ITV), and field placements in community social service agencies.
The program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and graduates of the program are eligible for licensure as professional social workers through the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) in Kansas and the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in Colorado.
