Successful Program Outcomes

Success Story — Andrea Mártires, Class of 2013

Since her graduation in 2013, alumna Andrea Mártires has been continuing to learn ways to transform society. She has expanded an already broad base of the Newman Core Value International Perspective in Geneva, Switzerland and other places in Europe. While at Newman, Andrea worked as a legislative intern for Congressman Tim Huelskamp and Senator Pat Roberts. She graduated magna cum laude in May 2013 with majors in sociology and psychology and a minor in international studies. In 2014, Andrea continued her studies at the University of Geneva, focusing on international relations and was selected for the 15th GIMUN Annual Conference held in the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

"You may be paying a little more at Newman, but you’re getting an experience that you can’t get at any other institution. You get more sense of a family. You’re one of few instead of just one of many. You aren’t just another face in the crowd."

Bryan Janzing, CLASS OF 2016

"I’ve gained a deeper appreciation of my faith and the ability to express that to others."

Jennifer Mai, CLASS OF 2016
