Dr. Wendy Munday-Sahatjian is a tenured faculty member teaching in the School of Business at Newman University as an Associate Professor of Marketing and Management and previously held the position of Director of the MBA program.

Before coming to Newman, Wendy enjoyed a highly successful corporate career in marketing and sales across multiple industries including banking, business development consulting, auto dealerships, and media. Dr. Munday-Sahatjian also founded Management & Marketing Innovations, working with small businesses and entrepreneurs in a wide variety of sectors such as construction, banking, retail, custom building, design services, museums and many service-focused organizations to include a multi-year, multi-million dollar federally-funded research project in conjunction with several large social service agencies. Her work on the research project has been published on a national level.

In addition to more than 20 years of experience as a business marketing and management consultant, Wendy is also active in the Wichita community, including the Chamber of Commerce where she has been a member of several Visioneering Wichita committees and selected as a judge for the Chamber’s Small Business Awards. She has served as a Board member of several organizations in the Wichita community and continues to serve the community in her capacity as a faculty member at Newman University. Wendy has also been an active member of the Wichita American Marketing Association, serving on the selection committee for Marketer of the Year and was a keynote speaker on “Marketing for Small Business”. Other featured key note speaker events include the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Wichita Independent Business Association, the Non-Profit Chamber of Service, and the Kansas Interhab State Conference.

Most recently, Dr. Munday-Sahatjian has worked with the Kansas Leadership Center as a Mutual Learning Partner and since its arrival in 2014, as the Interise instructor for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Emerging Leaders Initiative at the Wichita District Office and as a national instructor evaluator for this program. She is also the founder of the Aspen Consulting Group, furthering her work with business owners and CEOs as they strive to improve their organizations and their lives. Her current clients range from small business CEOs to the leadership team of a $100M business unit within Textron Aviation. Wendy received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Wichita State University. She completed her MBA at Wichita State University where she was awarded the Dale E. Wiggins Graduate Assistantship. Wendy went on to Oklahoma State University to earn her doctorate in Occupational and Adult Education.
