Educational Background

Favorite place on campus
The Hub in the Dugan Library. It has the Sacred Grounds coffee shop right next to the best study and hang out spots on campus.
What would be your number-one tip for the admissions process?
Apply, apply and apply...for scholarships! Look at large scholarship providers, but also local businesses and organizations. Often with local businesses they may only have a handful of applicants, so why not throw your hat in the ring?
What is your most memorable undergraduate experience?
This is so hard to pick just one moment! I would encourage students to study abroad during college. Once you are in the "real world" trying to navigate a new job or vacation time, you realize that it would have been much easier to travel if you did it as an undergraduate student. I studied in Rome, Italy in the Spring semester of my sophomore year. The experience was truly memorable, and even on a shoestring budget I managed to visit 7 countries.
What is your ideal vacation destination?
I've added more countries to my passport recently, with trips to Spain, Mexico and an Israel trip, and I can say that no matter where I go want to be immersed in the local culture and traditions. In the mornings, checking out a museum or cultural site, then grabbing street food for lunch, and splurging on a nice authentic dinner. Next up on the travel list is likely another trip to Mexico, Ireland or back to Rome, Italy!
What is your favorite song?
Back in the day, I was guilty of burning a CD for friends on a college road trip, but I only added the song "Call me, maybe?" to the entire track. Some would argue that is my favorite, but I like songs that'll make you move like, "OMG" by NewJeans, "Dime Como Quieres" by Christian Nodal & Angela Aguilar or "La Boda Del Huitlacoche" by Carin Leon.
If you could have superpowers, what would they be and why?
The ability to bi-locate like Padre Pio!
What were the last three books you read?
The Three Body Problem by Cixin Lui, Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know by Adam Grant, and Mixed: A Colorful Story by Aree Chung. I like books that take on sci-fi problems, or that make you wonder, and I love reading books with my young daughters.
