Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant
The Federal TEACH Grant is different from other federal student grants because it requires you to take certain kinds of classes in order to get the grant, and then do a certain kind of job to keep the grant from turning into a loan.
The College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 created the Federal TEACH Grant program, which will allow eligible students to be awarded up to $4,000 per year ($16,000 maximum for a four year program) in grants. Graduate students are eligible for up to $4,000 per year ($8,000 maximum limit).
Due to Sequestration:
*Any Federal TEACH Grants disbursed after October 1, 2020, and before October 1, 2024, are subject to a 5.7% reduction. Students are eligible for up to $3,772 per award year.
