Grants are a form of gift aid and are generally awarded to students with financial needs as determined by the FAFSA. Grants do not have to be paid back. All federal/state grants may be awarded to undergraduate students who are working on their first bachelor’s degree.
Federal Grants
Federal grants may be awarded to degree seeking undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree who demonstrate financial need.
State Grants
State grants and scholarships are for Kansas residents with financial need.
Federal TEACH Grant
The Federal TEACH Grant provides grant funds to postsecondary students who are completing or plan to complete coursework needed to begin a career in teaching, and who agree to serve for at least four years as a full-time teacher. The Federal TEACH grant may be converted into an unsubsidized loan if the conditions are not fulfilled.
Kansas Promise Scholarship
The Kansas Promise Act Scholarship provides service scholarships for students to attend an “eligible postsecondary educational institution" in specified programs.
