Business - Organizational Leadership

Earn a Degree in Organizational Leadership

Knowing how to help navigate and transform an organization successfully and efficiently through good times as well as challenging times is essential in today’s ever-changing business environment. Understanding the nuances of personnel management to increase productivity, achieve organizational goals, and motivate others takes expertise and skillful application of a multitude of abilities. You must be adept at building relationships, developing key communication strategies, having both emotional intelligence and diverse cultural understanding, as well as the ability to apply leadership theory and make ethical personal and business decisions.

Online or On Ground

Our Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership degree will train you in the skills needed to help prepare you for a leadership and management position. The program can be completed in an accelerated format with fully online (8-week) courses that run continuously throughout the year to help quicken your time to degree-completion. This curriculum is a great choice for working adults who have successfully completed college courses in the past but need to finish their four-year college degree.

Traditional On-ground and Blended Format

Maybe you prefer a more traditional format? We’ve got that, too! This program is also ideal for the traditional college student who is looking for a business degree with courses that can be taken in a flexible online and/or on-ground delivery format if they choose. Classes are offered both on-ground in a 16-week daytime delivery, or you can customize your plan of study and blend both online and on-ground courses if that works better with your schedule. Your personal advisor will help you design a program to best meet your personal timeframe.

Program Outcomes

We think our university is great, but don’t just take our word for it. Hear what some of our previous students have to say about their experience.

Success Story — Easton Julian, Class of 2016

Recent Newman University alumnus, Easton Julian, graduated from our business program with a job already in place at Textron Aviation, as a customer account coordinator. When Easton was asked to reflect on his time at Newman University, he stated, “I think Newman has a great value and I think it’s because you get to know your professors by name. Even the president [of Newman] knew my name. You get a personal relationship with everyone at Newman.”

Success Story — Susan Pool, Class of 1980

Newman University alumna, Susan Pool, was named one of the 20 honorees in the Wichita Business Journal’s class of 2015 Women in Business on July 21st. The Business Journal highlights 20 women in the Wichita community who have made a significant contribution to the community. Susan is a founding member of TrueNorth, a wealth management and retirement plan consultation provider. She graduated from Newman in 1980 with bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and History.

"I’m going to remember the relationships I made at Newman University. I think Newman has a very family atmosphere, you get to know everyone very closely, all your professors. I love it."

Easton Julian, Business Administration and Accounting

"I really want to do something in the international business field. Newman University has a good program for that and I love the flexibility."
