Angie McCoy

Dr. Angie McCoy is the Assistant Dean of the School of Business & Technology, MBA Program Director, and Assistant Professor at Newman University. In these roles, she contributes to academic leadership, program development, and strategic planning while mentoring students and supporting faculty initiatives across the School.

Dr. McCoy’s research interests center on issues in higher education, focusing on shared governance, the sustainability of the academic business model, and the design of curricula that engage diverse learning styles. She is particularly passionate about creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments that meet students' evolving needs.

Dr. McCoy teaches various undergraduate and graduate courses, bringing academic rigor and real-world relevance into the classroom. Her instruction emphasizes practical application, ethical leadership, and critical thinking.

Outside of her academic career, Dr. McCoy co-owns several oil field-related LLCs with her husband, contributing to her deep understanding of business operations and entrepreneurship. Through her work in academia and business, she is dedicated to preparing students for leadership roles and enhancing graduate business education's relevance and effectiveness.
