Built for Flexibility

Accelerated Online or Traditional On-ground Classes

As an adult student, we understand you have multiple priorities to juggle with work, family, and personal obligations. We also know that you may prefer both online and on-ground classes so we offer both 8-week accelerated online courses as well as on-ground class options, too.

No Minimum Credit Hour Enrollment Requirement

Do you want to ease back into school with just one or two classes? No problem! With our flat per credit hour rate, you can take as many classes as you would like each term. (Be sure to check the minimum credit requirement if receiving Federal Financial Aid.)

Flexible Year-Round Scheduling

To make your study at Newman convenient, we offer a variety of courses year-round to help you balance life and work responsibilities with academics, but most of all-- to help keep you on a fast path to graduation!

Pause-and-Restart Option

Did life catch you off guard? Sometimes unexpected situations or newly planned events arise in life that may require a brief hiatus from your studies. We understand. If you need to press the pause button in your studies, just let your advisor know.

Worried about Past Grades?

Do Not. Worry. About. Past grades. You are beginning a new academic journey, with new personal expectations and goals that you have set for yourself.   Your past academic performance is no reflection of your current talents. With your advisor for guidance and support, you are set up for success!

Our faculty and staff have the knowledge and experience to help you prepare for a career in biology. If you need clarification on a class assignment or advice on how to approach your future, you can feel confident that our faculty is available and ready to help.

Student Testimonials

"I think Newman has a great value and I think it’s because you get to know your professors by name. The president of the university knew my name... because you get a personal relationship with everyone at Newman."

Easton Julian

"I went to a junior college before I came, and it's really just a totally different atmosphere. The atmosphere was so friendly here, and being that much older than the students, I wasn't sure how they would accept me, but they were just wonderful. They included me. And then Professor Bontrager encouraged me to go on the Guatemala (Study & Serve) trip, and again I thought, 'Oh, I don't know how this is going to work,' but I made some wonderful friends and I just had a wonderful time. They were just so caring, and you know, I was probably like a grandma to them, because they helped me get up the hills and things like that, which was really sweet. I think that the friendship and the camaraderie was so much greater at Newman."
