This allows you to gain experience in computer systems administration, database management, database programming, local area networking, network management, user support application programming, and website development.

    Get Involved on Campus

One of the best ways to find success during your college career is to get involved in campus clubs and organizations. Within our management information systems program, our students can join the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Club. This organization allows for personal growth, networking, and future career success.

The Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Newman University is designed for aspiring problem-solvers who want to bridge the gap between technical programming and strategic business management. It is ideal for students aiming for high-demand careers such as IT project managers, systems administrators, or database analysts, where they can use technology to optimize organizational efficiency.

What makes Newman University's MIS program so different is an integrated approach at a private Catholic university, blending rigorous business administration training—including marketing, accounting, and management—with advanced technical coursework in networking and web development.

"I like the smaller environment. You get to know a lot of people and know everyone. Seeing everybody walk across the stage, I probably knew quite a few people and they know who I am. So you get that connection, that small environment that you don't get like at a bigger university. I really enjoy Newman for that."

Kenneth Huie

"My professors are a testimate to my success and my education at Newman Universty has set me up for a great career."
