I am a native of Wichita, attending Blessed Sacrament grade school, Kapaun-Mt. Carmel high school and Wichita State University before going to seminary at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. After ordination, I taught high school religion at St. Mary's-Colgan high school in Pittsburg, KS before going back to school in Rome, where I attended the Pontifical Gregorian University, eventually earning the doctorate in sacred theology (S.T.D.) in 2004. I joined the faculty of Newman University in 2004 and have been working here ever since. I was also a pastor, twice, during this time, at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Goddard and St. Joseph's in Andale, KS. I currently serve as the dean of the school of Catholic Studies at Newman University.
