The University Archives, established in the 1990s, documents the history of Newman University. It serves as a repository for documents and artifacts relating to its intellectual, social, and cultural past. It also preserves the papers and books of Monsignor Leon McNeill, first university president and a pioneer in the Midwest Catholic education and Rural Life movements.
The following areas are included in the collection: Athletics, Campus Buildings, University Presidents and Administration, Faculty, Photographs, and Student Life.
The Archives welcomes researchers from the Newman and the outside communities. Please schedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. We are located on the north end of ground floor of Sacred Heart Hall near Mail and Copy.
University Archives hosts many resources on the Libguides portal including The Vantage, Pacemaker, College News, Cookbooks and much more!
