Associate of Science in Respiratory Care

The Associate of Science in Respiratory Care program focuses on preparing you to:

  • Function as a Respiratory Therapist under the direction of a physician
  • Assist in the evaluation, treatment, and care to patients of all ages with heart, lung, and breathing disorders
  • Work in a variety of health environments, including hospitals, physician offices, and specialized care hospitals

While attending the program, you can expect to take courses including Cardiopulmonary and Renal Physiology, Pediatric Respiratory Care, Neonatal Respiratory Care, and more.

The Clinical Experience

Newman's urban setting allows for affiliation with large medical centers and smaller community hospitals, offering a wide variety of experiences.

Clinical instructors include respiratory therapists and physicians who have real world experience and knowledge of the latest advancements in pulmonary-related technology.
