Accelerated Pathway to Teaching

Accelerated Pathway to Teaching

Complete your Elementary Education PreK-6 Degree in 16 months with classrooms available in Dodge City, Garden City, Liberal, Ark City, Wellington, and Wichita. Zoom (online collaboration) technology is available for students who are unable to attend in a physical classroom space.

Once you have completed the general education requirements at your community college, it takes 16-months to complete the Accelerated Pathway to Teaching program at Newman, including teaching internship (student teaching). Most courses are offered at night, two to three evenings a week, with some summer coursework required. If you have not completed an associate degree but have taken some coursework, we can provide you with a personalized plan of study!

Scholarship Opportunities

Accelerated Pathway to Teaching students are currently awarded $20,000 per year in Newman scholarships.
