Honors Application

Before joining Honors, you'll need to be accepted to Newman University. If you haven't applied yet, start your admission application here.

Once accepted, you're ready for the next step!

First-time students with 3.80+ GPA: You'll automatically receive an Honors Program invitation and scholarship offer at the time of your acceptance to Newman. No extra application needed!

Transfer students (3.80+ GPA) or first-time students below 3.80: You'll need to apply using the link below. We review applications on a rolling basis.

After receiving your Honors offer, confirm your interest by participating in at least one Honors event during the academic year. This is your chance to meet students and staff, ask questions, and see if Honors is the right fit for you.

Ways to confirm:

• Participate in a mock Honors class or game
• Visit a Freshman Honors Seminar class
• Attend a virtual information session
• Meet with Honors during a weekday campus visit
• Attend the Honors lunch during a campus visit event

Already attended an Honors event before being admitted? That counts! You don't need to attend another one.

To officially confirm your Honors Scholarship and reserve your spot in the Fall 2026 cohort:

• Attend one of the confirmation events listed above
• Submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit by May 1, 2026

Commitments may be accepted after May 1 as space allows, but we encourage you to commit early to secure your place!
