Amount: $17,500/year
Named for and sponsored by the founders of Newman University, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ or "ASC" sisters, the ASC Service Award and corresponding program are designed to enhance the servant leadership skills of students who demonstrate a commitment to civic engagement. This award replaces any previously-awarded Newman Academic Scholarship.
Eligibility
- Cumulative 3.00+ GPA
- Demonstrated commitment to leadership & volunteerism
- Completed application for admission & acceptance
- Completed scholarship application (includes submission of video, picture, & résumé). Available after your acceptance to Newman University.
- Interview with program directors
Requirements
- Complete 45 hours of community service per semester
- Maintain a cumulative 2.75+ GPA
- Participate in one semester-long service/leadership class per year
