Our theme for our 6th Annual Giving Day on February 26, 2025 is "Together we Give, Together we Grow," because we understand that since this University's inception there has been nothing we have not been able to accomplish when our community comes together. This year, generous donors are matching gifts for every area of campus up to a set limit, so donate on Giving Day and make twice the difference. Please support us this Giving Day and let's grow this unique University.
Where to Give
The Newman Fund - $7,000 match
The Newman Fund provides students with institutional aid and supports student services.
Athletics - $1,000 match
Your contribution to Newman Athletics allows student-athletes to focus on their academics and sports as they learn the values of discipline, hard-work, dedication, and teamwork.
Fine Arts - $5,500 match
Your gift to Fine Arts enables us to have robust music, theater and art programs that teach students confidence, creativity and character.
Metanoia - $1,000 match
The Metanoia program is on-campus living that enables students to grow in their personal faith while creating a community of believers that support and encourage each other.
Arts & Science - $1,000 match
This year, the School of Arts and Sciences is raising money for lab coats with the goal of having 50 people donate $50 to cover all the new lab coats! In 2017, the Newman University Math and Science Division started awarding lab coats to juniors in good academic standing who are pursuing a science bachelor’s degree. Each year, the lab coat is awarded at a lab coat ceremony as recognition of the student’s hard work and scholarly achievements, which include the successful completion of a multitude of rigorous, challenging science, math, and general education courses. These coats have a Newman University logo and are personalized with the student name embroidered on them. It is quite an honor for students who receive them.
Business & Technology - $1,000 match
The School of Business & Technology is committed to developing technologically equipped, future-ready professionals who exhibit intelligence, insight, and transformational leadership.
Catholic Studies - $1,000 match
The School of Catholic Studies provides students authentic and transformational opportunities to grow in their faith during their collegiate journey.
Education & Social Work - $1,000 match
Our education and social work students are taught not only the theories and practices they need but the intangible skills that enable them to go out into the workforce with empathy, dedication, and commitment.
Healthcare Professions - $1,000 match
Our School of Healthcare Professions is the leader in Wichita for providing high quality education in healthcare programs. This year they are raising money for classroom improvements and for each $20 donation made to the school, you will be entered into a drawing for a wine and cheese basket, valued at $200.
Student Affairs - $1,000 match
The Office of Student Affairs works hard to make sure that every student at Newman has the opportunity to participate in activities that align with their interest and culture. Both our Trivia Night and our drawing for a semester of free housing are initiatives raising money for Student Affairs.
