First-time Students - Next Steps

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid qualifies families to receive need-based financial aid for college. Prospective freshmen may access the 2022 FAFSA on or after October 1 and file using your 2020 tax information. Transfer students enrolling for spring may file at any time. Make sure to list Newman on your FAFSA by using our school code – 001939 – so we receive your information!

Housing applications are now open! Please note all new students intending to enroll and to live on campus must also submit a tuition & housing deposit. Make sure you have submitted your $75 housing deposit before completing your housing application!

HOUSING APPLICATION

In addition to a merit scholarship you may have been already awarded, we have a few additional scholarships you may be eligible to apply for. The deadline for all special scholarships is January 15.

HOUSING APPLICATION

Deposited transfer students looking to enroll for fall 2022 are encouraged to attend a transfer registration day to sign up for classes, get their student ID and more. Transfer registration days are held late spring and over the summer months. These days are also great opportunities to discuss questions about housing, financial aid, meal plans and more, as well and connect with faculty members. Transfer students may also sign up for individual advising appointments by contacting their admissions counselor.

International Students - Next Steps

HOUSING APPLICATION

Before you can receive your I-20, you must complete the Immigration and Financial Form. 

Step 4 - Pay Your SEVIS Fee

Once you have received your I-20 you must pay your SEVIS fee by submitting an I-901 form and fee payment. Click the link below to get started. You must have your I-20 and a receipt of your SEVIS fee payment for your Visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
