My general project is to investigate issues in religion, political theory, metaphysics, and Judaism & Christianity in context of the History of Western Philosophy. At present I am completing a monograph that treats the influence of pagan anti-Judaism on modern and contemporary philosophy. This project traces the influence of Roman historian Tacitus' ideas about the Jews on the works of Spinoza, Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger, and others.
