College Tutoring

Newman University offers free tutoring services to Newman students seeking help with their studies. We are happy to help you find a peer tutor for any number of subjects offered at Newman. Our main focus is on high need courses like writing, math and sciences. Peer tutors are Newman students who are currently taking courses, so they have an immediate understanding of the material.

Tutoring services are available online only via ZOOM and is open on in general Monday through Friday and on Sundays. The tutors' schedules are based on individual availability, please see the scheduler at the link below for individual tutor's schedules.*

  • Mondays: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Tuesdays: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Wednesdays: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Thursdays: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Fridays: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Sundays: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Meet the Peer Tutors

Need writing assistance? Submit your paper to the Writing Coach Canvas Site on your personal Canvas page for a free critique. (Writing coaches will review your paper and return it to you within 3-5 days with suggestions on how to improve your work.)

Want help with APA format?

Study Sessions

Small groups may request time with a tutor for special topics in regular courses or on a regular basis as a supplement to selected courses. Informal study groups are welcome to use the Runway Learning Center as a meeting place.
