If you are a student seeking academic assistance, a student seeking to help tutor others, a student looking for career advice or a faculty member with concerns about the work of a student, the Runway Learning Center is the place to start.

Visit the Runway Learning Center in Sacred Heart Hall 301 from 8-5 p.m. 

 

The mission of the Runway Learning Center is to enable Newman University students to be confident and independent learners. The Center will provide opportunities for success in present and future classes by offering accessible tutoring and facilitation resources in a supportive environment. The Center seeks to provide for all students at Newman University sound and relevant career guidance, personalized and insightful academic counseling, effective personal counseling, and quality assistance with the learning process. Through its many services and programs, helps empower students intellectually and emotionally so that they may identify and realize their lives' goals.

Whether you're a faculty member with concerns about a student or you're a student struggling to successfully complete your writing assignments, we're here to help!

Student Referrals

If you have a student who is experiencing problems, you can refer him/her to the Runway Learning Center by contacting p[email protected].

Session Summaries

With your student's consent, we can send a summary of each tutoring session to you, keeping you informed of how often your student attends the Tutoring Center and what kind of accomplishments are being made.

Runway Learning Center Orientations

The Runway Learning Center staff will gladly come to your class and give a brief overview of the Center and the services we provide. In return, you're welcome to bring your students to us for the orientation so they can become familiar with our location. To schedule an orientation, contact us.

Student Success Workshops

The Runway Learning Center staff also provides small-group workshops for students who have common concerns, such as but not limited to, time management, effective note taking, test taking tips, writing professional documents, acing the interview, and major & career exploration.
