Located near the Wichita Business District and a stone's throw from the Historic Delano District, Newman University offers three venues for public rental - making a perfect location for your upcoming speaking event, wedding, or social. Additionally, Newman offers classroom rental for those in need of a more engaging atmosphere, capable of the latest presentation technology.
DeMattias Performance Hall
- Availability dependent on Theatre and Music Department’s show schedule
- Maximum Capacity is 392
- Dressing Rooms and Green Room available with rental
- Lighting and sound available at a daily rate
- Technical Labor available at an hourly rate
- Security is available at an hourly rate
Insurance - Normally available through your personal insurance company. You will need to provide a certificate of liability insurance for the safety of your guests. See sample Certificate of Insurance
Dugan-Gorges Conference Center
- Maximum Capacity is 320 – 60 inch round tables that seat 8
- Hours available for rental – 8:00am – 12:00am
- A variety of setup options are available
- All setup and cleanup is performed by Newman staff
- Security is available at an hourly rate and is required if alcohol will be served
- Dance Floor
- 15 X 15 - Holds 40 to 50 people
- 18 X 18 - Holds 60 to 75 people
- 21 X 21 - Holds 90 to 100 people
- Linens & China
- White table cloths, napkins, and buffet table linens are available and included with catering
- Colored Table Cloths and Napkins are available at an additional charge
- China and silver available with catering only
- Food / Bar
- Food – If the event is catered you must use Newman’s in-house caterer
- Bar - Must be open bar and renter provides all alcohol.
- Bar – Set ups are available from caterer
- Bartenders - Great Western bartenders are required to serve the alcohol you provide at your event for an hourly rate

- Maximum Capacity: 52 (banquet), 75 (social)
- Hours available for rental 8:00am – 12:00am
- Food / Bar
- Food – If the event is catered you must use Newman’s in-house caterer
- Bar - Must be open bar and renter provides all alcohol.
- Bar – Set ups are available from caterer
- Bartenders - Great Western bartenders are required to serve the alcohol you provide at your event for an hourly rate.
- 2nd floor patio - attached with extra seating and space outside
