What is a Non-Traditional Student?
A non-traditional adult student is defined at Newman University as a student pursuing an undergraduate degree on either a part-time (less than 12 hours) or full-time (12 hours or more) basis and meets one of the following criteria:
- Must be out of high school for three or more years without any college credit.
- Must be out of college for three or more years.
- Must be age 24 years or older.

At Newman we understand non-traditional students are often full-time working adults and have families at home. We offer several online programs to work around your busy schedule.
Qualifying non-traditional students may apply for and receive the Cardenas Scholarship.
