The Newman University Graduate Student Social Work Association is formed to provide its members opportunities for sharing information concerning social work employment, volunteer positions, training, and educational opportunities. The Association promotes peer support for students, community service, and social interaction between students. Membership in the Association is open to Newman University social work graduate students with full voting privileges to all graduate social work students formally admitted to the MSW program. Membership will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, disability, or sexual orientation. Annual membership is ten dollars. Consideration will be given to students who are unable to pay this fee. Dues will be collected at the September meeting of each year. Second semester students joining the Association after January 1 will pay five dollars for the remainder of the year.
