The delivery method of course materials is in a traditional classroom setting. Classroom learning will encompass faculty, student, and guest presentations. Readings will explore current issues and practices within health care environments. Students will utilize background from the major and their own disciplines to complete projects and the practicum course, permitting a sharing of common issues and differences and faciltating an understanding of the complexity of today's health care environment. Some online learning will be integrated.
Research opportunities
All students will complete a research course within the Health Care Science curriculum. Research data related the health care issues will be encountered across the curriculum. All students engage in a final project within the final Practicum course.
Additional information
Students with Associate of Science or Arts degree will articulate into the University having met general education requirements with the exception of 6 hours of philosophy and 6 hours of theology. Students will work with an advisor within their discipline to complete a plan of study. The Health Care Science degree is a Continuing Adult Program (CAP) and is offered at $305/credit hour.
