Financial Aid Checklist

Steps you will need to complete to attend Newman University

 

New Students:

Complete the Admissions process

Complete the Application for Admission

Pay the application fee

Request your official high school transcript or GED results be sent to the Newman University Admissions Office

Request official copies of all post-secondary transcripts

Supply, if applicable, ACT/SAT scores

 Complete the Financial Aid process 

Apply for a PIN used to electronically sign your FAFSA  (Dependent Students: Both you and a parent whose information will be listed on your FAFSA, will need to apply for a pin)

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include Newman University's school code 001939. (Please note - every year you will need to fill out a FAFSA online)

Complete any other Financial Aid forms requested by the Financial Aid Office

Receive your initial award letter (congratulations!) detailing the types and amounts of financial aid for which you are eligible

Sign and return your award letter

Complete necessary loan documents

Complete the Enrollment process

 Contact Admissions  to sign up for an enrollment day

Register for classes in the Registrar's Office

Finalize payment plan or make payment arrangements with Student Accounts at 316-942-4291, ext. 2168.

Returning Students:

Complete the Financial Aid process

Submit a renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include Newman University's school code 001939. (Please note - every year you will need to fill out a FAFSA online. If you have forgotton your PIN you can request a duplicate by clicking here: PIN

Complete any other Financial Aid forms requested by the Financial Aid Office

Review and accept your financial aid awards on JETSTREAM

If your parents are taking out a PLUS loan, complete necessary loan documents

Complete the Enrollment process

Meet with your academic advisor to develop a class schedule

Register for classes in the Registrar's Office

Finalize payment plan or make payment arrangements with Student Accounts at 316-942-4291, ext. 2168.

Important Dates

Jan. 15 - Deadline for applying for the Community Leadership Scholarship

Feb. 1 - Deadline for applying for the Cardinal Newman Scholarship

March 1 - Priority deadline for filling out the FAFSA and having all necessary documents to Financial Aid to have a complete FA file.
