    Whether you're a faculty member with concerns about a student or your a student struggling to sucessfully complete your writing assignments, we're here to help!

    Faculty Services 

    Student Referrals

    If you have a student who is experiencing problems, you can refer him/her to the Tutoring Center by completing the referral form.

    Session Summaries

    With your student's consent, we can send a summary of each coaching session to you, keeping you informed of how often your student attends the Tutoring Center and what kind of accomplishments are being made.

    Tutoring Center Orientations

    The Tutoring Center staff will gladly come to your class and give a brief overview of the Tutoring Center and the services we provide. In return, you're welcome to bring your students to us for the orientation so they can become familiar with our location. To schedule an orientation, contact us.

    Workshops

    The Tutoring Center staff also provides small-group workshops for faculty and students who have common tutoring concerns, such as responding to others' work, creating an effective thesis statement, or editing and proofreading techniques. We're happy to offer the workshops at your place or ours! Workshop examples include: Identifying and Preventing Plagiarism, Evaluating Writing Assignments, or a host of other ideas. Let us know your needs as we can develop a workshop on almost any topic!     Student Services

    Personalized Coaching Sessions

    A writing coach will spend 30 minutes up to three times per week assisting you with your project and focusing on your concerns. We can even help you come up with a topic, get started writing it, improve your rough draft, and enhance your proofreading skills. Walk in during our coaching hours or contact us.

    E-coaching

    Can’t make it to the Tutoring Center? Submit your paper online and a coach will respond within 72 hours.

    Reference Library

    Style guides (MLA, APA, Turabian, and CBE), grammar and style handbooks, dictionaries, thesauri and more are available for use in the Tutoring Center.

    Handouts
